Eyes are the windows to the soul. The eyes have it. Say it with your eyes.
If clichés have taught us anything, it is that people really care about eyes and how they look. Your eyes are likely the first to expose the effects of too many late nights, glasses of plonk, and the Atonement-related salty tears from the evening before.
The under-eye area is one of the thinner, most sensitive areas and is easily neglected in basic skin care. Chances of wrinkles, dark circles and fine lines are very high after exposure to sun and dry conditions over time.
Eye cream therefore comes to the rescue. Eye creams help to nourish the skin, keep it moisturised and prevent dullness. They help fight the puffiness every morning and brighten eyes. They also soften fine lines and make the skin under your eyes look youthful.
How to get the best out of an amazing little pot of cream, you ask?
Upon cleansing before bed and when you wake up each morning, apply to two fingers on each hand and lightly pat onto delicate under eye area and around eye sockets until the cream is absorbed. Be very gentle, and do not let the product enter your eyes as it can cause irritation and redness in the eye. Always wash your face before applying the cream, and choose one that is fragrance-free and suitable for sensitive skin in order to diminish the chance of irritation.
If using this little pot of gold daily from your twenties onward, your skincare regime can go a long way in helping wrinkles stay at bay.
